The second session of FAO InnoVentures Lab features a discussion on "Blockchain Technology: Building trust and transparency in the food supply chain through traceability." The session was hosted by FAO Director, OSL, and Executive Chief of the Women’s and Youth Committees, Ms Angélica María Jácome Daza, who welcomed our Special Guest Speaker, Mr Leandro Nunes, Vice President of Innovation and Product Development at Master Card.
Participants were able to explore how to design and implement deliberately transparent, traceable, and sustainable supply chains. Leandro Nunes gave the audience an opportunity to take a look at real-life case studies of companies that are using technology, new collaborative approaches, and unusual partnerships to transform supply chains and create traceability stories for consumers with an emphasis on food supply chains. Mr Nunes also featured applications of MasterCard Provenance solution.
