In 2023, the World Food Programme (WFP) prioritized innovation and technology to combat global hunger amidst challenges in donor resources and humanitarian crises. The WFP Innovation Accelerator, with support from partners, focused on deploying innovative solutions globally, emphasizing local innovation, and enhancing its technology-driven humanitarian efforts. Through partnerships with various sectors, substantial funding, and expanding its reach, the Accelerator made significant strides, reaching 60.7 million people and supporting numerous SDG initiatives. Looking forward, WFP remains dedicated to fostering innovation, increasing resources, and scaling up partnerships to address the needs of vulnerable populations worldwide.
