Digital technologies provide opportunities to rebuild and strengthen livelihoods after crises and accelerate economic recovery. They can help people access market information and facilitate the exchange of goods and services when shocks disrupt traditional market functions. The digital economy also provides an opportunity for flexible work that allows people with time and mobility constraints, including people on the move and women with care responsibilities, to continue participating in economic activities.
