Ensuring Industrial Safety & Security - Resilient, Reliable and Responsive Manufacturing Sites

Building on the recommendations brought forward in the Conference on Ensuring industrial Safety and Security in May 2019, and in response to the global crises caused by COVID-19, UNIDO and Rostechnadzor started a series of webinars on Ensuring Industrial Safety and Security. Each episode will feature a topic of relevance to the safety and security of workers and manufacturing. Experts from all over the world discuss their views on the topics in one-hour sessions and provide recommendations and a way forward in these challenging times. This first episode will focus on more resilient, reliable and responsive manufacturing sites, capable to reconfigure fast to changing external conditions. Experts shared their experience in adapting and navigating security and safety on manufacturing sites, and the adaptions and shifts in supply chains through the use of emerging technologies. They also addressed the question of how to ensure inclusive and sustainable industrial development in times of crisis and the heightened risk for occupational health and safety.
