Armed conflicts, instability, terrorism, and organized crime endanger the lives and well-being of up to 2 billion people around the world. Conflicts exacerbate poverty and inequality, especially for marginalised groups, including women and children. This discussion will spotlight initiatives from DPPA, ACLED, and country-level insights from the RCO in Kenya and the UN Verification Mission in Colombia, that leverage data, innovation, and foresight approaches to foster peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and diplomacy.
